Our first market-ready solutions include H-1, a USV for ROV deployment, and TAKAU, a multipurpose buoy. Join us at HYARKS and be part of shaping the future of offshore wind energy.

The Role

Join our international team of exceptional individuals as a Naval Architect, directly reporting to the CEO. In this dynamic role, you will take full ownership of all naval architecture aspects within the company, leading design, construction, and R&D activities. At HYARKS, we're developing groundbreaking solutions set to revolutionize the offshore wind industry, and we want you to be a pivotal part of this journey.

This position offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and advancement within Hyarks. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be diverse: solving design and construction issues, planning construction activities, and continuously learning new skills to propel HYARKS forward. No two days will be the same, ensuring an exciting and challenging work environment.

Key Skills

We are seeking a highly enthusiastic Naval Architect who is committed to giving their best every day and eager to learn new skills. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, requiring minimal guidance, self-motivated, diligent, and a strong team player.

While we value soft skills highly, the following technical skills would be advantageous:

  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software, preferably Solid Edge or Siemens NX.

  • Experience with FEA and CFD tools, preferably Ansys Workbench.

  • Familiarity with classification societies and the required documentation to achieve certification.

  • An interest in robotics and their application in improving operations at sea.

  • Familiarity with a shipyard environment.

  • Willingness to get hands-on and manage boatbuilders on-site.

  • Proficiency with project planning tools.

Ideally, candidates will have at least a bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture with 3-4 years of professional experience. However, if you lack this experience but believe you have the qualities we're looking for, we encourage you to apply and prove your suitability for the role!

The following requirements are a must and no applicants will be selected if these requirements are not met:

  • Fluent communication skills in Chinese and English

  • Reside in or be willing to relocate to Kaohsiung
